Watch and Page videosSupported

Watch links, /videos/ permalinks from a Page, and videos embedded in a post all work through the same field. These are the uploads most likely to carry both an HD and an SD pass, and both are listed with HD first.

fb.watch and Share linksSupported

Short links and the /share/v/ and /share/r/ forms carry an opaque token rather than a video id. They are accepted: the redirect is followed and the real id is read from wherever it lands, including when Facebook bounces that redirect through its login wall.

Audio, on every fileSupported

Facebook also publishes a streaming ladder with separate video and audio tracks, labelled with tempting resolutions. Downloading from it produces a silent file, so it is ignored here entirely. Every row offered is a complete video.

Friends-only posts and private groupsNot supported

Not supported, and not something we intend to add. Video in a friends-only post or a private group is not publicly served, so reaching it would mean signing in as someone who can see it.

Stories and live broadcasts in progressNot supported

Not supported. Facebook serves Stories only to signed-in accounts, and a live broadcast has no finished file to fetch while it is running. Once a broadcast ends and the recording is published, its permalink usually resolves normally.

One honest caveat about quality: how many files Facebook publishes for a reel is Facebook's decision, not ours. Most reels exist as a single progressive MP4, so one row is the whole set rather than a missing HD option. Where a second, larger pass exists it is listed above it. Either way the file is the one Facebook serves its own player — there is simply not always a choice to make.

How to download a Facebook reel

Three steps, about ten seconds, on a phone or a desktop. Watch links and Page videos go through the same field.

  1. Open the reel and share it

    Reels play in a full-screen viewer, so start by opening the one you want. The arrow at the right edge — or the three dots above it — opens the share sheet, and Copy link is the option you need.

  2. Load the media

    Put the link in the field at the top of this page and submit it. The reel's public metadata is read once, and every file Facebook publishes for it comes back listed with its quality.

  3. Choose a file

    Where two qualities exist, HD is first. Selecting a row streams the MP4 to your device under a name built from the poster, the reel id, and the quality you picked.

What quality does a reel download in?

Whatever Facebook published, streamed through untouched. Reels are shot vertically and usually published once, so a single row is normal; where a second pass exists it is listed too, HD first.

A Facebook Reels downloader without watermarks is less a feature here than an absence: there is no branding step in the pipeline to switch off, and no frame is re-compressed on the way past. Nothing is upscaled either — a reel published at 720p stays 720p, whatever another site claims about 4K.

Will the reel keep its audio?

Yes. This is the failure people run into most with other tools: Facebook's streaming ladder separates picture and sound, so a file taken from it plays silently.

Only the muxed progressive MP4 is offered here, which is why the list of options is short. Every row on it is a complete reel with its original audio.

What about reels I can only see when logged in?

Those do not work, by design. A reel restricted to friends, posted in a private group, or age-gated is not served to a signed-out request, and this tool never signs in to anything.

If it is your own reel, the Facebook app can save it directly from its share sheet.

Do I need a Facebook account or an app?

No. Paste a link, pick a file, done — no login, no browser extension, and nothing installed. Your Facebook credentials are never asked for; if a downloader asks you to sign in, that is the moment to close the tab.

Is anything stored?

No media, ever. Every reel download streams from Meta's CDN through this server to your browser and is never written to disk. Video metadata sits in a cache for about ten minutes so a repeat lookup does not hit Facebook twice, and then it is gone.

Routing through the proxy also means your browser never contacts Facebook for the file, so no referrer or fingerprint of yours reaches them and nothing shows up in your activity log.

Can I repost a reel I downloaded?

Not without permission. The person who posted it holds the copyright, and a download button does not transfer that. Saving your own reels and keeping personal offline copies is the intended use.
