By using FDownloader you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What this service is
FDownloader is a free utility that reads publicly available metadata from a Facebook video or post you provide and streams the media in that post to your device. It is a convenience layer over content that is already public. It never signs in to Facebook, it does not circumvent any access control, and it cannot retrieve friends-only posts, private groups, Stories, age-restricted video, a live broadcast that is still running, or anything deleted.
Acceptable use
You may use this service to:
- Download videos, reels, and images from your own Facebook posts or Page.
- Save publicly posted media for personal, offline viewing.
- Download content you have the copyright holder's permission to use.
You may not use this service to:
- Republish, redistribute, or monetise someone else's content without their permission or a valid licence.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Harass, defame, or stalk anyone, or to assemble media about a person without their consent.
- Run automated, bulk, or scripted requests, scrape the service, or attempt to bypass the rate limit.
- Probe, overload, or disrupt the service or the infrastructure it depends on.
- Do anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.
Copyright
All downloaded content remains the property of its copyright holder. You are solely responsible for how you use anything you download, and for obtaining any permission you need. If you believe content has been used in a way that infringes your rights, see our copyright policy.
Relationship to Meta
FDownloader is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. "Facebook" is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of Facebook itself is governed by Meta's own terms, which are between you and them. Using a third-party tool with a platform may be restricted by that platform's terms — reviewing them is your responsibility.
Availability and changes
The service is provided free of charge with no uptime commitment. It depends on the structure of pages we do not control, so features can break without notice. There are also standing operational limits: twenty lookups a minute per address, a twelve-second upstream timeout, and a refusal to proxy files larger than 512 MB. We may change, rate-limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or your use of downloaded content, including claims of copyright infringement.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of the page reflects the last change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
